A celebration of 200 Unique and Vintage Pieces Sold!
⚡️To Celebrate RCV is offering multiple sales in the shop!

200 Total sales
Retro Closet Vintage has been active since early 2023, and one thing that makes this shop unique is that it only exists on Etsy. There is no perfect platform, but Etsy has been a great space to host RVC’s shop. Another unique detail about the shop is that there is no advertising or marketing via social media. The only marketing used by RCV is through Etsy. So, our celebration is earned!
All that to say, 200 items in about 3 years may not seem like much, but the slow, steady build of sales has been so rewarding. Early on I (shop owner Matt) made the commitment that this project would remain a hobby. I wanted it to stay fun, aligned with values, and (hopefully) pay for itself. To date – mission accomplished!
⚡️Out of curiosity, where did these 200 sales end up? Did they affirm the research on trending vintage sales shared earlier? Where are the new owners of these old but lovely items? Check it out!
A Global Impact
I could not have guessed that customers from 10 Total Countries would be among RCV’s fans. Not only that, once someone from Asia and Antarctica 😂 find something they love, every continent will be covered! So, this is a global celebration!

It’s been such a joy to send unique items to new owners all over the world. I can’t imagine what kinds of adventures and experiences these pieces are getting to witness!
USA! USA! USA!
As expected, a huge majority of the items sold are now living in 43 different states! Here’s how that number breaks down in items-per-state.

So, California almost doubles up Illinois in the top two spots. Oregon joins them in double digits, with the rest of the states in single digits. Even with ever-rising shipping costs, it’s been a lot of fun sending items to so many of these United States!
So, happy 200 sales, RCV!
Here’s to hoping customers from a few states, Asia, and maybe a researcher from Antarctica finds our shop somewhere in the next 200!
